Biosecurity refers to all the measures taken to minimize the risk of infectious diseases caused by viruses, bacteria or other microorganisms entering, emerging, establishing or spreading in the World, potentially harming the population, the food security and economy.
A balanced and practical approach to global biosecurity can be achieved only by recognizing the many viewpoints and approaches to biosecurity procedures implemented effectively around the world to create a safer world of today and for the next generations.
